As a weekly publication which was started in early 1950 (the first issue was August 25th 1950 and featured the start of the 500cc race at the Grand Prix of Europe at Silverstone in May), Autosport has of course featured Lotus on the front cover many times. The first issue to feature a Lotus on the cover that we could find in the archives, was the March 25th 1955 issue, which shows the Miller/Rabe, 1100cc Lotus Mk 9 making its world race debut at the Sebring 12-hours.
The 120 or so other issues we show here are just some of the the ones we have in the Auto-Archives library that feature Lotus cars and or drivers on the cover. We will be adding more as we find them!
The Auto-Archives magazine collections are supported and sponsored by hobbyDB the world’s fastest growing collectibles database.
